About DementiaAbout Dementia

Mild Cognitive Impairment

Symptoms become noticeable to the affected individual and/or family and impairment is significant but does not interfere with everyday activities

Alzheimer’s Disease

The most common cause of dementia, accounting for an estimated 70% of cases

Vascular Dementia

Caused by poor blood flow to the brain, depriving brain cells of the nutrients and oxygen they need to function normally

Lewy Body Dementia

Caused by abnormal protein deposits called Lewy bodies, which can lead to problems with thinking, movement, behavior, and mood

Alzheimer’s Family Center is an adult day health care facility providing memory care programs and caregiver support.

Alzheimer’s Orange County

Alzheimer’s Orange County provides free care and support services for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and dementia in Orange County.

Family Caregiver Resource Center

Family Caregiver Resource Center is one of 11 regional resource centers across California that are designed to serve family caregivers of brain impaired adults.

Somang Society

Somang Society is a Cypress-based non-profit organization with the mission of promoting “Well-Aging, Well-Being and Well-Dying” for Korean American older adults and their caregivers in Southern California.
