UCI MIND is pleased to announce Ann & Charlie Quilter as our 2025 December to Remember Gala honorees. The Quilters’ unwavering commitment and generosity have made an extraordinary impact on UCI MIND’s mission, and we are deeply grateful for their continued support.
Ann and Charlie have a deep history with UCI and UCI MIND. Ann achieved her MS of Public Administration in 1979 and Charlie received his PhD in History in 2010. The Quilters are pillars in the local Orange County community, particularly in Laguna Beach. Ann is the previous Laguna Beach Woman of the Year and Charlie is a veteran marine fighter pilot who served in Vietnam, was later a commercial pilot, and is a founding partner of QSC, an innovative manufacturer of pro audio systems. Ann’s commitment to change the future is demonstrated by her involvement as a UCI MIND research participant. With parents who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease and Lewy Body Dementia, she contributes to UCI MIND’s mission with unwavering dedication and a remarkable commitment to protecting future generations.
The December to Remember Gala brings together supporters, partners and advocates each year to raise critical funds to support UCI MIND’s mission to conduct cutting edge research that will bring solutions for Alzheimer’s disease and other causes of dementia. This year’s event promises to be the most impactful yet, thanks in part to the Quilters’ inspiring contributions.
