Congratulations to Ann and Charles Quilter

Ann and Charles Quilter are this year’s recipients of the UC Irvine Alumni Association’s 2026 Extraordinarius Award, the highest honor awarded by the alumni association.

For more than five decades, Ann and Charles have been extraordinary supporters of UC Irvine. They have supported Alzheimer’s disease research, the humanities, and have created opportunities for students and faculty.

Their transformational gift established Ann Hutchinson Quilter Hall, the future home of UCI MIND, and inspired over $30 million in additional philanthropic gifts towards the facility. Ann and Charles Quilter also established the Quilter Endowed Chair in the History of Technology, ensuring that future generations of scholars can explore how technology shapes our world. Their leadership, generosity, and dedication to UC Irvine’s mission has made a profound impact for generations to come.

Join the 55th annual Lauds & Laurels celebration hosted by the UC Irvine Alumni Association on Nov. 5 at the Irvine Barclay Theatre to celebrate the Quilter’s legacy.
